This tool is for removing and installing the single rear mounting bushing of the rear differential on BMW E46 and E85 vehicles. This tool allows you to perform the operation without removing the rear subframe, only the differential. After you remove the rear differential, these tools should make the rest easy. If you're unsure you are capable, email me and I will outline the procedure. The tool comes without the molded case because the case is too big for the USPS medium flat rate box. I also have the tool for the front bushings of the rear differential available on this site, but it is currently unavailable due to needing a new bolt. Normally I would recommend renting both at the same time, but I have made the other inactive while I get a new part. You can email me for details. It shouldn't be but a few weeks to get a rep bolt.
